Anita was born in London, England, and moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with her family when she was in high school. She relocated to Columbia to attend UofSC where she earned B.S. degrees in criminal justice and psychology.

Anita has worked in the education arena for many years. Her experiences include assisting faculty advisors in the university's College of Criminal Justice; serving as a trainer for a company specializing in billing software; providing administrative support in an early childhood setting; and most recently, supporting two living learning communities on campus. She is thrilled to be "home" at UofSC and loves working with and supporting the wonderful Gamecock community.

Anita is married to Ryan and they have three children: Aaron, Jenna and Nicholas.  Anita enjoys reading, cooking, taking walks around campus at lunch and taking chocolate breaks! Anita and her family love spending time together especially camping or glamping and joking about who spoils Dixie (the dog) the most!
