Q+ Honors Caucus

Created to give high-achieving LGBTQ+ students a space of comfort, community and education, the Q+ Honors Caucus provides vital leadership and ideas within the South Carolina Honors College. 

Purpose

The mission of the Q+ Honors Caucus (Q+HC) is to cultivate a safe space within the SCHC where LGBTQ+ Honors students feel heard, respected and empowered in Honors and across campus. Through social events, academic opportunities and community partnerships, Q+HC aims to create a diverse and inclusive organization that promotes social connection, personal and academic growth and open expression of the identities and political, social and cultural views of LGBTQ+ students.

The Q+ Honors Caucus serves as both a social group for LGBTQ+ students and allies as well as an educational forum for the Honors College and USC campus. As the caucus grows, Q+HC will be a pre-professional networking group, connecting LGBTQ+ students and alumni.
