What drew you to the field of medicine?

I always wanted to go into medicine because of my personal experiences with healthcare and volunteering in the hospital which solidified my decision. The ability to make a direct impact on someone’s life by not only helping them when they are sick but giving them the opportunity to pursue their goals is something the field of medicine can offer.

What are your future plans?

I am certain about my decision to attend medical school, but I am still figuring out what path I want to take after that. Because I have several interests, I am looking forward to learning about the various specialties in medicine and having mentors at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine to guide me.
