A current resident of Lexington, S.C., Brittany Sims was raised in Cayce, S.C., where she became an alumni of Brooklyn-Cayce High School in 2004. Following graduation, Sims attended the University South Carolina-Upstate, earning her Bachelor of Arts in sociology. Upon graduation, she began her professional administrative experience with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP. Wishing to pursue her passion of higher education, Sims accepted a position in admissions as the online enrollment assistant with Columbia College in 2015. In early 2017, Sims decided to transition back to the University of South Carolina, where she currently serves as the receptionist for the dean's suite in the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management.
Aside from her work at USC, Sims enjoys volunteering, reading and spending time with her husband (Chris) and their two children (Liam and Caleb).
