While obtaining her undergraduate degree, Viviana Williams was a peer mentor, tutor and assistant academic advisor to incoming freshmen and transfer students. Williams participated in the Texas Southern University men and women's events, teaching students how to get acclimated into college life after high school. After graduating with her degree, Williams pursued a career in teaching, working with students with disabilities at Sterling High School and teaching grades 9-12 in all subjects. Her career as a teacher lasted eight years. After teaching, Williams decided to return to higher education at her alma mata, Texas Southern University, where she became an admissions counselor providing services to all students. Education has always been a passion for Williams.
Williams enjoys preparing down-home southern food, family time, shopping and vacation.
