Chef du Jour

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a few hours to spend with a culinary expert? Wait no more! Register today for one of our Chef du Jour classes to sample new cuisines or to learn new and fun ways to prepare the foods that you've always enjoyed!

These are not your typical cooking "demonstrations."

In many similar classes, you sit back and watch a chef do all of the cooking as he or she demonstrates a variety of cooking techniques. Our classes are not for onlookers, but rather for those of you who are ready to get your hands (and clothes) a little messy. You will actually be doing the cooking, learning three to five new recipes in the process. So come to class dressed comfortably and be ready for some fun!

Offered approximately twice a month, our Chef du Jour classes take place at the McCutchen House, located on the historic Horseshoe, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays (unless otherwise specified). Seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Classes fill quickly so make your reservations early.

Pie Like the Professionals

Saturday, November 3 • 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
$70 per person

Nothing says “holidays” more than a homemade pie. With Thanksgiving and Christmas around the corner, learn the traditional pie making techniques of your favorites — no more spending top dollar for desserts from a store! Making them is more fun anyway, and it impresses those you love.

The World of Bacon

Bacon is not just for breakfast anymore. Discover new ways to use bacon in appetizers, soups, and even desserts. Maybe we’ll even invent a drink! No one ever said, “that’s too much bacon.”
