USC Fashion Week

Founded in 2008, the annual week of events organized by the student organization draws attention and visitors from all over South Carolina and beyond. Details change each year, but the two main attractions remain: the Student Designer Showcase and the Fashion Week Finale Show.

Famed designer Coco Chanel said, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” The members of the University of South Carolina’s Fashion Board put her words into action each spring with UofSC Fashion Week.

The Student Designer Showcase, open to all UofSC students, gives budding designers a chance to show off their skills. Partnerships with local businesses are a big part of Fashion Week, and they take center stage as boutiques and other retailers put their spring collections on display (with help from student models) at the Finale Show.
