The International Hospitality and Tourism Academy is a three-week experiential learning program for international students. The program is offered by University of South Carolina’s School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management and offers hospitality and tourism courses.
Select three classes from the options below—one from each course time.
Morning Course 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Southern Cuisine
- Event Planning
Early Afternoon Course 1:30 - 2:45 p.m.
- Resort/Revenue Management
- Hospitality Leadership
Late Afternoon Course 2:55 - 4:10 p.m.
- Hospitality/Tourism Marketing
Syllabus is available upon request. USC credit not available, but college credit can be provided by home institution.

Accommodations are provided by USC Housing and include single-occupancy, on-campus rooms with linens and furniture, as well as three meals per day!
The course includes a three-day hospitality and tourism trip to Atlanta, Georgia! Students will get to visit premier destinations, including: Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, CNN Studios, College Football Hall of Fame, Fernbank Museum, Zoo Atlanta, outlet shopping malls, top hotels and restaurants, and more.
FEE: $4,000 (U.S.)
Includes room and board, lectures for three courses, refreshments, field trip transportation, a city pass, attraction admission fees and use of university facilities including libraries and gymnasiums.
