Equipment Reuse Service

We accept donations of new and gently used medical equipment and distribute it to those in need.

Request Equipment

The SCATP Equipment Reuse Service can help you acquire free used assistive technology, including durable medical equipment. We collect donations of gently used medical equipment, clean and sanitize it, and give it to individuals who need it.

To request equipment, complete the equipment reuse request form. We will contact you once we have received and processed your form. If you have questions about the form, call 803-935-5273 or email alli.upchurch@uscmed.sc.edu.

If we don’t have the device or equipment you are looking for, we can add you to our waiting list and contact you if your desired item becomes available.

Donate Equipment

Not everyone who needs assistive technology will be able to get funding from private insurance, federal, state or local sources. Others may not want to invest in a new device if they will only need it for a short time. When you donate, you are helping others who might not be able to get the equipment they need any other way.

To donate, please call 803-935-5273 and make an appointment to drop off your donations at the SCATP Warehouse. If you are unable to come to our facility, we can pick up the equipment from you.

Donated equipment can include:

  • Tub benches
  • Walkers
  • Manual and power wheelchairs
  • Rollators
  • Bedside commodes
  • Canes
  • Standers
  • CCTVs
  • Magnifiers

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
