Faculty Surgeons

Our faculty surgeons provide inpatient/outpatient care with our partner hospitals, Prisma Health and the Dorn VA Medical Center. In addition to patient care, faculty surgeons provide the primary teaching efforts for surgical residents and medical students at these affiliated institutions.

 

A Wide Range of Specialties

Thanks to our partnership with Prisma Health, we've been able to widen our range of specialties. That means each medical student has more opportunity to choose specializations within their fellowships and residencies.

During your third year, you'll be able to get hands-on training through a clinical clerkship in surgery. 

 

Residency and Fellowships

We work with Prisma Health to offer both a surgery residency and a fellowship in surgical critical care. The Department of Surgery also offers an Integrated Plastic Surgery Training Program. The program is a a six-year residency focused on producing a well-rounded plastic surgeon knowledgeable in all aspects of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
