Mobile Device Setup

These guidelines will help you connect to your USC School of Medicine mailbox from a mobile device. Call our office at 803-545-5100 if you need additional assistance.

iPhone \ iPad iOS Setup

  1. Tap Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account
  2. Tap Microsoft Exchange.
  3. Enter your email address, usually username@uscmed.sc.edu.
  4. Enter your USCSOM network password.
  5. Enter a description such as "School E-mail" (optional).
  6. Press Next.
  7. Choose "Sign In", and "Continue" if asked.
  8. If you have set up MFA and passwordless sign in, you'll be asked to send a push  notification.  Otherwise, sign in as you normally would.
  9. Choose which content you would like to synchronize: Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders and Notes.
  10. Press Save.

Android Phone \ Tablet Setup

  1. From the Applications menu, select Email (or Mail on some versions of Android).
  2. Type your email address, e.g. username@uscmed.sc.edu and select Next.
  3. Select Exchange account (or Exchange ActiveSync on some versions of Android).
  4. Enter the following information:
    1. Domain/Username: uscmed/username
    2. Password: Enter your USCSOM network password.
    3. Exchange Server: uscmed.sc.edu
  1. Select Next. Your phone will verify the settings.
  2. Choose the PEAP Account Option and select next and choose MSCHAPV2.
  3. Type a name for the account and the name you want displayed when you send email to others.
  4. Select Done.
