The three-year P3 curriculum includes free online courses, monthly assignments and journaling, MCAT resources and workshops about the medical school application process.

Starting with your sophomore year, each year you’ll follow a detailed calendar designed to build your knowledge and experience base to boost your readiness for the MCAT and become a competitive applicant

 

What can I expect each year? 

 

Sophomores

Your preparation will focus on academic and research opportunities such as

The massive open online courses (MOOCs) are free subject-based learning opportunities that will prepare you for your medical college admission test (MCAT) and medical school. For each class, you’ll work at your own pace across several weeks.

Hear from practicing physicians and current medical students about topics you need to understand before medical school, such as discovering your learning style, identifying the most effective learning strategies for you and demystifying student loans.

Start preparing by watching free online Khan Academy videos about various subjects covered by the MCAT. This content review will set you up for more rigorous study your junior year.

You’ll have the opportunity to go inside real-world health care settings by participating in multi-week Prisma Health-Upstate programs.

 

Juniors and Seniors

Your preparation will focus on academic and research opportunities such as

Take your test prep to the next level with MCAT prep platforms that contain questions and full-length practice tests like those on the MCAT exam. Practicing will help you improve your timing and strategic thinking, which should boost your MCAT score and improve your candidacy.

You will learn about requirements, resources and recommendations to successfully apply to medical school. You will also receive strategies and tips about preparing for medical school interviews.

You’ll have the opportunity to go inside real-world health care settings by participating in multi-week Prisma Health-Upstate programs.
