The University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business once again boasts the top-ranked International MBA program in the nation, according to the newly released U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate Schools.
International MBA is one of several programs at the university highlighted in the 2017 guide released Wednesday (March 16). For the Moore School, this year’s No. 1 ranking continues a string of success that has placed it in the top three for 27 consecutive years.
“It is gratifying that the Darla Moore School of Business has once again been recognized as the nation’s top International MBA program in the 2017 U.S. News & World Report rankings,” said Moore School Dean Peter Brews. “At the Moore School, we continually innovate in our international business programs to ensure that our students have both a global mindset and the hard and soft skills necessary to make effective decisions in the contemporary global marketplace. Being ranked No. 1 again in both undergraduate and graduate international business reflects the global footprint, diversity of scope and high quality of our programs, faculty and students.”
In addition to the International MBA program, the Moore School’s Professional MBA program ranked No. 24 nationally, and No. 15 among all public universities.
“I am also honored that our Professional MBA program is once again ranked among the top 25 in the nation,” Brews said. “Our faculty and students, combined with our multi-location classroom format, work together to develop effective business leaders, a connected business community and stronger companies across the Carolinas.”
The College of Nursing's master’s program ranked 58 overall in the new rankings (No. 40 among public universities). In the last two years alone, the program has moved up 21 slots.
“We have great momentum in the College of Nursing and the highest commitment to quality and excellence in all of our academic programs,” said nursing Dean Jeanette Andrews. “These new rankings, along with our recent No. 1 ranking for best online graduate nursing programs, validate our national prominence and stellar reputation among the 519 graduate nursing programs across the U.S. I am so proud of our high-caliber faculty, staff and students who contribute to our success.”
In a new program ranking for 2017, Carolina’s doctor of nursing practice program ranked No. 49 nationally (No. 34 among publics).
Other graduate programs listed in the latest rankings include public health (No. 23), speech and language pathology (No. 30), education (No. 78) and law (No. 92).
Overall, the university has 47 nationally ranked academic programs by U.S. News & World Report, more than any other school in the state.
