GMAT waivers are provided on a case-by-case basis after review by our admissions committee. Minimum requirements to request a waiver include all of the following:
1. At least a 3.5 cumulative (or most recent 60 hour) GPA
2. At least a 3.5 upper-level accounting GPA
3. At least 3.5 business core GPA
4. At least three upper-level accounting courses completed
Waivers are only extended to students who have an undergraduate degree in accounting. Meeting these minimum requirements does not guarantee the receipt of a waiver. To request a waiver, please email unofficial copies of your transcript(s) and an updated resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will not review your application until all of your required application documents have been received. Applications missing documents after a deadline has passed will be carried forward to the next deadline.

UofSC-Columbia Accelerated Program Applicants
Applicants are evaluated across a number of factors, including:
- Undergraduate performance
- GMAT score
- Recommendation letters
- Admissions interview
- Other compelling factors
Each applicant is evaluated individually and assessed on their potential to excel in our program. Defined admission requirements for undergraduate performance and GMAT will vary from applicant to applicant. However, all applicants must have a minimum 3.00 upper-level accounting/major GPA with no more than two C's in these courses.
Your application is not considered complete and will not be reviewed for an admission decision until each of the following is received:

Resume & Statement of Purpose
Included in your online application, the statement of purpose is your chance to tell us what you want to do with your MACC degree and why you want to attend our program.
2 Letters of Recommendation
Within the online application, you will provide the email addresses for two contacts that you want to provide you a recommendation. These can either be academic or professional, however, we prefer at least one recommendation from an accounting (or other major) professor. Your recommenders will receive an online form to complete to the email address you provide for them.
You may attach unofficial transcripts to your online application for the review process. Transcripts from all institutions attended are required. Official transcripts are required for enrollment.

GMAT Exam Scores (or Waiver)
Send your official GMAT scores using our institutional code: JV2-TP-28. Scores must be from within the past five years to be considered valid.

International applicants not graduating from a U.S. institution, or who have not spent at least 3 years studying in the United States, must submit official TOEFL or IELTS test scores to demonstrate their command of the English language. Scores must be from within the past two years to be considered valid. Our institutional code for TOEFL is 5818. For IELTS, please make sure you select the University of South Carolina as a score recipient when taking the test.
Qualified students will receive an invitation to schedule an interview after our review of your other required application components.
We offer two options for interviewing: 1) an on-campus interview, or 2) a video interview.
