Moore School general scholarships are competitive and limited. The number and amount of scholarships awarded vary and are subject to available funds.
Application Process for Undergraduate Students
To apply for any Moore School scholarship, you need to complete an online application known as the Moore School Common Scholarship Application annually. For the upcoming academic year, students who complete and submit the Moore School Common Scholarship Application are automatically considered for all scholarships for which they meet the scholarship criteria. This means that you only need to fill out and submit one annual application to apply for all available scholarships.
Please note that you must fill out the application in its entirety to be considered for scholarships. Thoroughly completing the application, including the optional questions, may broaden the scholarships for which you are considered since those questions help identify applicants who meet specific criteria.
Deadlines and Application Links
Applications open in January at the beginning of the spring term. There are three applications with different deadlines: one for current or returning students, one for incoming freshmen and one for incoming transfer students. Late submissions will not be accepted.
The deadline to apply for 2024-25 scholarships as a returning Moore School student
is March 1, 2024.

There are two deadlines to apply for 2024-25 scholarships for incoming freshmen. The first deadline, April 1, 2024, is for early notification awards, with notifications made by April 20 to allow for notification prior to the USC enrollment decision deadline. The second deadline is May 15, 2024.
Please note, if you complete the Moore School Common Scholarship Application by the early notification deadline and are not awarded an early notification award, you do NOT need to submit another application to be considered for the May 15 deadline.
The deadline to apply for 2024-25 scholarships for new transfer students is July 15, 2024 with notifications in early August.
General Scholarship Guidelines
General scholarship recipient notifications will be sent via email and will include the amount and name of the scholarship award. Scholarship awards for 2024-25 will be announced by June 15, 2024, with the exception of:
- Incoming Freshmen early notification scholarships will be announced by April 20
- Transfer student scholarships will be announced in early August
Scholarships do not automatically renew. Current (2023-24 academic year) recipients of Darla Moore School of Business general scholarships must reapply to be considered for the 2024-25 academic year.
Recipients who do not enroll, or who transfer from the Moore School to another college, forfeit any previously awarded Moore School scholarships. Other scholarships may be available through the USC's Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships.
