Diversity and inclusion is no longer just a moral or ethical argument — it has become a strategic business imperative for successful companies. Several studies show that diverse and inclusive organizations are characterized by superior business performance and enhanced innovation and creativity.
The program is for middle- to upper-level managers in private and public sector organizations who want to become leaders in their areas by effectively leveraging diversity and inclusion in an effort to enhance organization effectiveness. This group of programs consists of four two-day classes, focusing on developing D&I leaders who are able to understand and lead in today's highly competitive, dynamic business environment. These programs can be taken individually, but if all four are completed, a certificate will be received.
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the global business environment with an emphasis on matters related to D&I and the impact on today's organizations. Topics include key D&I terminology and concepts, the legal landscape of Equal Employment Opportunity, and D&I best practices and challenges. It lays the foundation for greater awareness and deeper understanding of D&I, as well as further exploration of more advanced D&I concepts covered in subsequent courses.
This course examines various methods, tools and strategies to facilitate the successful recruitment, onboarding, development and retention of diverse talent through an inclusive lens. Emphasis is also placed on successfully aligning recruitment with overall business goals.
This course is designed to guide participants through the process of identifying a current D&I issue in their present organization and crafting a suitable strategic initiative to address the identified concern. Utilizing a change management perspective, instructors work with participants on their strategic initiative while focusing on ways to effectively drive D&I strategy in their organization's context. Participants learn how to successfully employ D&I competencies to create sustainable change given their organization's culture.
In this course, participants gain an awareness of key trends in the global business environment and the impact on organization performance. Emphasis will be placed on developing innovative strategies to address these trends in an inclusive manner to improve organization effectiveness and enhance performance outcomes.
