As the assistant director of the SmartState Center for Innovation + Commercialization, Kevin Diana is responsible for managing daily operations, overseeing special projects and facilitating research. Prior to joining the Center, Diana worked with Balchem Corporation (chemicals) and AxoGen (medical device). His passion for business formation and tech commercialization led Diana to join OnTheSpot Parking, an early-stage sharing economy startup. He earned a Bachelors of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Florida before earning an MBA at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business, specializing in innovation and entrepreneurship. While at the Moore School, Diana was a graduate research assistant at the SmartState Center for Innovation + Commercialization and interned for the SC Launch Program at the South Carolina Research Authority.
