The Faber Entrepreneurship Center at the Darla Moore School of Business — working with our partner organizations — offers an enormous array of resources for building start-up businesses. But for many students with a great business idea, it's just that — an idea. Where do you begin? How do you asses the potential of and idea and develop a business plan? Who can offer expert advice on how to turn an idea into a reality?
The UofSC Instigator
Before you can take your idea to the next level — and present your concept to organizations dedicated to supporting viable business ideas — there are many questions you must be able to answer and lots of legwork to do to turn an idea into a viable business plan.
Any full-time UofSC student, undergraduate or graduate, who has an idea for a new business — but doesn’t know how to get started — can get free advice from the Faber Center faculty through the UofSC Instigator. Faculty members who are part of the Instigator will:
- Provide feedback regarding the feasibility of your business idea.
- Provide guidance for developing a sound business model.
- Direct clients toward resources available for fledgling entrepreneurs.
- Help you prepare to pitch your business idea to business development organizations.
The only things you need to bring to the UofSC Instigator: your idea and determination.
