New PMBA students will receive admission notification by email from the Moore School and the University of South Carolina Graduate School. The email from the Graduate School will contain instructions to follow in order to access the Graduate School portal, where your UofSC ID and VIP ID are located.
A non-refundable confirmation fee of $250 is required upon admission to the PMBA program. This fee will be applied to your first term’s tuition bill. Access to your VIP and UofSC ID is required to pay the fee online in Self-Service Carolina. Students should log in to my.sc.edu and click on "Pay Enrollment Fee" under the Newly Admitted Students section. PMBA students should select the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business confirmation fee. The university charges a $6.25 credit card convenience fee for online payments.
Please take some time to go through the 2020 PMBA New Student Checklist [PDF] to learn about the documentation required from newly admitted students. The checklist includes information about immunization and citizenship verification forms as well as web links for course registration, health insurance waivers and other needed information. The Professional MBA program team will host required virtual onboarding webinars that explain the details of the checklist as well as answer questions from attendees. You will receive invitations to these webinars by email.
Orientation for the Fall 2020 term will be held Saturday, January 11, at the Darla Moore School of Business in Columbia. Plan to arrive at 9 a.m. Students will be taking a professional photo for the PMBA directory and should wear business casual attire. The day will provide an overview of the PMBA program, a faculty panel and greetings from Moore School Dean Peter Brews. It is a great time to meet new classmates from the regional classroom you will be attending. The event will conclude around 3 p.m. and includes lunch and networking.
Blackboard is the academic software package used by faculty, staff and students at the university. The PMBA community page of Blackboard provides helpful information about navigating the program including electives offered, course schedules, the academic calendar and upcoming deadlines.
PMBA students will receive weekly emails that provide updates about courses, study abroad opportunities and networking events.
As students progress through the PMBA program they should reach out to Quinn Jacob for assistance.
