The School of Music’s signature fundraising event, Musical Feast, returns to the Koger Center for the Arts on Saturday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m. Hosted by the Friends of the School of Music, this annual celebration supports scholarships that enable talented students to pursue their musical dreams.
In its third decade, Musical Feast remains the School’s largest fundraiser and a beloved tradition among supporters and alumni. This year’s event holds special significance as it coincides with the grand finale of the School’s yearlong centennial celebration, Sing the High Praise: 100 Years of Music at Carolina.
Attendees will enjoy a captivating evening of live performances from USC’s finest student musicians, representing various genres and ensembles — including jazz, opera, strings, percussion, chamber music, musical theatre and music industry studies. Former WIS News anchor Dawndy Mercer Plank will emcee the event, adding a familiar and welcoming touch.
In addition to stellar performances, guests will be treated to various culinary offerings from popular local favorites, including Market on Main, Za’s Brick Oven Pizza, Arabesque, Showmars and Columbia Craft Brewing.
