Katherine Baber, University of Redlands – Musicologist whose research interests include the ways in which Leonard Bernstein’s compositions and his profile as a conductor, educator, and public figure have shaped definitions of American music in the U.S. and abroad; Fulbright Scholar to Austria to study Bernstein’s relationship with Vienna and his role in Mahler reception.

Lauren Eldridge, Spelman College, – Ethnomusicologist who researches musics of the African diaspora--particularly in Haiti--using race, gender, and class as analytical frames; teaching interests include the aesthetics of social activism and she currently serves as a coordinator for the Spelman College Social Justice Fellows Program.
