Polly Todd Laffitte is a veteran fundraiser with 7 years of experience here at Carolina and another eight in Higher Education and music fundraising in Knoxville, TN. After a career as a curator at the South Carolina State Museum, Polly’s first successes in development were with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. She moved on to the University of Tennessee and was responsible for major gifts for Music and the fine arts and humanities. The pull of family brought her home to Columbia and to USC where she has raised funds for Student Affairs and Regionals/Special Campaigns. Polly is a graduate of Winthrop College and the University of Denver, in design and art history, respectively. She serves on several non-profit boards particularly the Pearl Fryar Topiary Garden, enjoys gardening, hiking and adventure travel.
