Staff at the College of Nursing play a vital role in the daily operations of a top nursing program in the country. 

Serves as a liaison to develop and maintain relationships between the university, alumni, and healthcare and educational systems throughout the tri-sate area in order to actively identify potential applicants and attain graduate recruitment goals. In collaboration with the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions, implement recruiting strategies, including attending trade shows, conferences, education fairs and making presentations to prospective graduate students on and of-campus at information sessions, webinars, and other recruitment events. Provides advanced technical and professional support to faculty in post award management of sponsored awards. Interprets sponsor guidelines, policies, and procedures to support CON faculty and research mission. Employee successfully guides PI/PD and keeps them abreast of updates and/or revisions to sponsored awards guidelines, policies and procedures. Serves as a liaison with USC’s Grants and Funds Management (GFM) office to ensure financial reporting is accurate and complete. Develops timeline for grant reports, budget updates, and end of grant close out date. Full description

Serves as the gateway for the Assistant Dean for Finance and Operations and the Human Resources Director, assisting faculty, staff, students, parents, outside constituents and the public. In collaboration with the CON Dean’s Assistant, manages the central telephone and all related calls for the Dean’s Office and College of Nursing; greets and directs all incoming guess and walk-ins; assist students with navigating through the CON as needed. Creates and coordinates front office coverage schedule, ensuring the Dean’s Suite is open M-F 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., has a professional appearance, operates smoothly, and guess have a positive experience. Oversight for recruitment, training and supervision of research staff (including graduate assistants and student volunteers). Supervises daily operations; prioritizes, develops, implements, and monitors effective processes to ensure efficient work flow. Maintains a strong working relationship with research staff and the College of Nursing Business Director, Human Resources, Post Award Coordinator and university offices/personnel to ensure grant compliance.  Organizes project meetings, coordinates with Co-Is.
