Critical Conversations

The University of South Carolina College of Nursing, in partnership with the Medical University of South Carolina and Clemson University, are working together to host 8 panel discussions throughout the 20-21 academic year. Sessions will focus on faculty recruitment, faculty and staff retention, enhancing career success, and student clinical experiences. They aim to improve awareness, knowledge, and actions by addressing DEI concerns and challenges of faculty, staff, and students.

Panel 1: Essential Considerations for Recruiting Faculty of Color

Panelists will include UofSC associate professor Lori Vick, Clemson University senior lecturer Janice Lanham and Medical University of South Carolina professor Gayenell Magwood. UofSC College of Nursing Dean Jeannette O. Andrews will facilitate the discussion.
