Call for Poster Abstracts

The 6th Annual Clinical Practice Conference (February 23, 2019) is now accepting abstracts on clinical topics, innovative practice settings, research, and other topics related to nursing or advanced practice nursing with a focus on evidence based clinical practice and the improvement of health outcomes. 

Submission Deadline:  January 14, 2019.

Please submit your abstract to Amy Dievendorf at adievend@email.sc.eduNotification of abstract acceptance will be by January 21, 2019. 

Guidelines and Information:

  • Abstracts must be 300 words or less. 
  • In addition to an abstract, biographical information, including terminal degrees and affiliations of each author as well as contact information must be submitted for all presenting authors.
  • If accepted, each presenter(s) must register for the conference and at least one author must be available during the poster session times for questions and discussions with participants.
  • Completed projects and works in progress will be considered.
  • Please indicate whether the content of the abstract best fits the category of “research” or “clinical practice.”
  • The following sections are required: Introduction, Purpose/Hypothesis, Methods, Results, Discussion/Implications, References.

The Center for Nursing Leadership is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Contact hours will be awarded upon successful completion of this program, of which some hours are pharmacology content.
