Background
Nancy Roberts, Pharm.D., received her B.S. in Pharmacy from University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 1982. She did an ASHP accredited Administrative/Clinical Hospital Pharmacy Residency at Richland Memorial Hospital in 1986-1987. She attended graduate school at the University of South Carolina where she received her M.S. in Pharmacy Administration in 1991. From 1988 – 1995 she was on the faculty of University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice where she developed, coordinated and taught hospital pharmacy practice labs. She returned to graduate school at the University of South Carolina and received her Pharm D. degree in 2000.
Throughout her career she has been involved in sterile compounding. She has practiced hospital pharmacy in two large teaching hospitals, a large VA hospital, both large and small community hospitals and an oncology hospital. In addition, she has worked in home infusion, GMP outsourcing facility for TPN/cardioplegia and ambulatory infusion
Presently, Dr. Roberts is Program Director and instructor for Sterile Compounding Training with Kennedy Pharmacy Innovation Center at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. She is a registered pharmacist in the state of South Carolina and Georgia.
