College of Pharmacy

Pharm.D./MHIT

Prepare to be a leader in medical informatics by equipping yourself with expertise in management of both health care systems and information technology.

Earning combined Pharm.D./Master of Health Information Technology (MHIT) degrees equips you with expertise in the management of both health care systems and information technology. The combined coursework creates a workforce of highly skilled IT experts and healthcare managers and provides leadership and proficiency as U.S. healthcare systems continue to advance technologically.

The Combination Degree program is offered between the University of South Carolina's College of Pharmacy and the Integrated Information Technology (IIT) program. The MHIT program, housed within the IIT program in the College of Engineering and Computing starting fall 2017, is an interdisciplinary program with the Arnold School of Public Health.
