Pharm.D. Program

Pharm.D. + MBA

Add practical business instruction to your professional patient care studies to prepare for a career in hospital or health systems, the pharmaceutical industry, pharmacy benefit management organizations, or academia.

Earning concurrent Pharm.D./Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees is ideal for a pharmacist who seeks to add practical business instruction to professional patient care studies. The combination of these programs is highly desirable for students who plan to pursue a career in hospital or health systems, the pharmaceutical industry, pharmacy benefit management organizations, or academia.

The University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy’s Pharm.D./MBA is offered in partnership with the award-winning Darla Moore School of Business and allows students to concurrently achieve both degrees. Pharmacy students will be able to enroll in the Moore School's Professional Master of Business Administration (PMBA) program. As students complete pharmacy school, they can take advantage of the PMBA program’s course scheduling flexibility with evening classes, recorded lectures and distance education viewing sites throughout South Carolina and beyond.
