P. Brandon Bookstaver, PharmD, FCCP, FIDSA, BCPS
Dr. Brandon Bookstaver is an Associate Professor and Director of Residency & Fellowship Training in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences in the University South Carolina of College of Pharmacy at the University of South Carolina. Following graduation from the USC College of Pharmacy, he completed PGY1 and PGY2 residencies at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, specializing in Infectious Diseases.
Brandon serves as an infectious diseases pharmacy specialist at Prisma Health - Richland Hospital, precepting pharmacy and medical trainees. Brandon’s research interests include antimicrobial stewardship, hospital-acquired infections and advancing trainee-related research. He is involved in a number of regional and national organizations, and was recently elected as Secretary/Treasurer of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists and to the ACCP Board of Regents.
Brandon, with his wife Nicole and son Aaron, enjoys traveling, serving at their church Shandon Baptist, Gamecock athletics and spending time with their two dogs, Jack & Emma. He is also an avid (sometimes) runner with a lifetime goal to run a half- or full-marathon in all 50 states!
