The curriculum of the Physical Therapy Program consists of 122 credit hours of coursework
over 3 years. Foundational knowledge is presented prior to clinically relevant content,
and courses requiring the synthesis of material are presented later in the curriculum.
Four full -time clinical experiences complement the academic instruction and occur
in each year of study. The Physical Therapy Program does not accept transfer students
from other DPT programs. All students must complete the program of study as defined.
Clinical Experience
Students complete a total of 1,600 contact hours of clinical experience during 4 clinical
rotations.

The Doctorate in Physical Therapy Program in Exercises Science at the University of South Carolina is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education and therefore graduation ensures graduates eligibility to sit for national licensure and apply for professional licensure in any State, we cannot confirm that the program meets the requirements for professional licensure in other countries.
