Why you chose to pursue your degree within the ASPH: When looking into colleges in high school, I immediately knew I wanted to major in exercise science and that it was the field I wanted to be in. I had always excelled in the sciences and knew I wanted to major in that field, but did not want to hone in on one specific science. Exercise science, and public health too, give you the flexibility to study across disciplines while also maintaining a scientific lens. The Arnold School has amazing degree programs, and is a dedicated school for only the majors of public health and exercise science, which really made me love ASPH.
Advice for future students: Say yes to opportunities! Sometimes you may be looking for one specific job or role and you are really just not succeeding or finding anything that fits the description you created. Take the other alternative routes and make them beneficial for you! When a door closes, another one opens is the motto I always come back to.
