Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the College of Social Work budget and manages the finances of the college.
  • Implements and manages the financial operations of the College of Social Work to include the areas of budget, personnel, fiscal activities, financial projections of tuition/revenue, budget development, procurement, monitoring of expenditures, grants and contracts management, including the Center for Child and Family Studies, institutes, and foundations.
  • Manage and allocates the College of Social Work’s tuition and fees revenues, fellowships, stipends and scholarships.
  • Oversee or serves as liaison with USC fiscal offices, SAM, foundation and development Offices.
  • Assist the dean, associate/assistant deans, directors and coordinators with administrative operational activities related to finance, budgeting and personnel.
  • Provide oversight for administrative logistics related to human resources activities and procedures, IT, and facilities and operations.
  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings and professional development activities as needed.
  • Manage and monitor succession planning and talent management for College of Social Work staff.
