Responsibilities

• Ensure that junior faculty have all the resources needed to begin their research trajectory.
• Help senior faculty with the resources needed to sustain their research trajectory.
• Help faculty with professional development and career trajectory related to research.
• Serve as liaison with vice president for research and other associate deans for research at the university.
• Oversee the intake process for grant applications.
• Oversee the Office for Research tracking system for grants manager to account for all faculty grant activities.
• Help identify research mentors for faculty in the college, university and externally.
• As requested by faculty, provide timely and constructive feedback for each submitted LOI and full proposal.
• Identify experts to assist faculty with federal grant proposals.
• Oversee new faculty orientation and help with onboarding of newly hired faculty.
