Voter Outreach

The College of Social Work encourages all students, faculty and staff to vote early or on Election Day on Tuesday, November 3. This is your opportunity to support the candidates and ballot measures you believe will make a positive difference in our community, state and nation.

The vote is precious. It's almost sacred, so go out and vote like you never voted before.

- John Lewis, former U.S. Representative and Civil Rights Leader

Please refer to the voting resources below that will assist you in registering to vote, find polling places, and more. Since advocacy is an important aspect of social work, we have also included a list of links to raise awareness of the upcoming elections around the University of South Carolina campus. Even just helping one person go to the polls and vote can make a difference.

Voting isn’t marriage – it’s public transport. You are not waiting for ‘The one’ who is absolutely perfect. You are getting the bus. And if there isn’t one going exactly to your destination, you don’t stay at home…you take the one going closest to where you want to be.

- Paul Tambyah
