Delta Sigma Pi begins 2016 recruitment Monday

Delta Sigma Pi begins spring recruitment Feb. 1 in the Darla Moore School of Business. Established at the University of South Carolina in 1929, Delta Sigma Pi is the oldest professional business fraternity on campus.

Open to men and women, Delta Sigma Pi offers a vast network of members and alumni who have proved helpful in securing internships and jobs for members after college.

As a professional fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi offers an ideal balance of professionalism and social interaction. Matt Calcagno describes the organization as “a one-stop shop for social interactions, the development of skills and a network to advance every one of your professional goals.”

Delta Sigma Pi offers professional development through speakers, etiquette dinners and workshops. Socially, the fraternity offers retreats, semiformal, formal and many other events. “The community in DSP is just like that of everyone’s favorite show 'The Office.' We get our work done and we do it well, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like to joke around and have fun,” says Justin Sommermann, the group's senior vice president.

Recruitment week will be held daily at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 1-5 in Room 123 of the Darla Moore School of Business. Monday and Tuesday attire is business casual while Wednesday through Friday is business professional. Check out the group's website, Twitter or Facebook for all recruitment details or email Justin Sommermann with questions.
