Through April 26, UofSC students have free access to Kognito’s At-Risk for College Students, an online emotional wellness and safety education module. The 30-minute interactive training helps students learn to recognize signs of psychological distress and suicidal thinking in their friends and fellow students and teaches them to approach those students, share their concerns and connect them with campus resources.
At-Risk for College Students is being offered free for a limited time as part of the Kognito Challenge, which encourages college students to learn more about supporting mental health on their campuses. UofSC students who participate in At-Risk help Active Minds compete against other college and university chapters to earn credits toward their fundraising requirement. Active Minds is a student organization that promotes mental health awareness, education and advocacy at UofSC.
