Give It Up for Good this spring

At the end of each semester, UofSC collects donations from students to keep thousands of pounds of reusable items out of the landfill, give back to local charities and help students clean out their residence hall rooms.

Through the Give It Up for Good Donation Drive, students can donate clothing; accessories; shoes; household goods; unopened, nonperishable food; plastic grocery bags; furniture; and appliances. Donation boxes will be available in residence halls April 25-May 7.

Faculty and staff can drop off donations 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 18 at the mobile storage containers across from 743 Greene St.

The food and plastic bags collected will be donated to Harvest Hope. Other items will be sold at the Give It Up for Good yard sale to benefit Habitat for Humanity

The faculty and staff preview sale will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, May 20 at the Greene Street Intramural Field. Admission will be $5 with a Carolina Card.

The Give It Up for Good Yard Sale will be 7 a.m.-noon Saturday, May 21 at the Greene Street Intramural Field. Admission is free, and the sale is open to everyone.
