The city of Columbia has closed a portion of Devine Street from the railroad to Pulaski Street because of construction at the Palmetto Compress site. The road will be closed May 9-24 while work is done to repave the street and install sidewalks and street lighting along this block. Pedestrian access to and from Huger Street will divert to a temporary walkway along the railroad and Blossom Street bridge.
