Stand Up Carolina is launching a campaign this spring to encourage students to intervene in negative situations even if they’re uncomfortable or worried about what their peers will think. As part of this campaign, Student Health Services will create posters featuring student stories and how others can indirectly intervene to help the situation.
Student Health Services is looking for students willing to share a scenario when they or someone else should have intervened or did intervene to help the situation. Some example scenario topics are: mental health (depression, suicidal thoughts, etc.), racist/homophobic remark, medical emergency, unhealthy relationship, interpersonal violence, stealing, plagiarism/cheating, suspicious person or behavior, bullying, hazing, drunk driving, etc.
If you are interested in participating in this campaign, please email healthyc@mailbox.sc.edu.
