University Housing offers MicroFridges for rent

Students interested in using a MicroFridge in their on-campus room should rent or purchase one before Aug. 8 to guarantee delivery by Aug. 14. Only MicroFridges rented or purchased through Standards For Living are allowed in the residence halls. The University of South Carolina has chosen Standards For Living as they are currently the only provider that offers an Energy Star rated appliance with exclusive safety features and 'green' business practices.
Refrigerators, microwaves or MicroFridges not purchased through Standards For Living will be removed from rooms and fines may be assessed. The university provides MicroFridges in all McBryde and Bates House rooms, while students living in Capstone, Columbia Hall, Honors, Maxcy, Patterson, Preston, Sims, South Tower and Women’s Quad will need to rent or purchase a MicroFridge for their room. Only one MicroFridge is permitted per room and rentals placed after Aug. 8 will be delivered to campus after classes begin.
