Summer events taking place in Colonial Life Arena

Parking may be tougher the last half of July around the events center

A concert and an annual convention at Colonial Life Arena will add to traffic in the West Campus district, and University of South Carolina staff and students should plan around these late July events.

On Wed., July 18, co-headliners Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton will perform at 7 p.m. Event parking is $20 in the university’s lots.

On Thurs., July 19, setup begins for the first of a pair of three-day Jehovah’s Witness convention gatherings. The slates, set for full days July 20-22 and July 27-29, will add many cars and people to the area.

Lots to avoid: Lots AD3, FS4 and GS4 adjacent to Colonial Life Arena may be unavailable or full during these days.

Alternate parking: Parking will be available in other AD lots around campus like AD1 by the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center as well as AD6 and AD9 near Bates House.
