Magellan Scholar and Mini-Grant applications are open

The Magellan Scholar student research grant funds up to $3,000 for research, scholarship or creative activities. Applicants are required to attend one workshop to apply. The deadline to apply for the grant is Feb. 19 at 5 p.m.
Upcoming Magellan Scholar workshop dates:
- Friday (Jan. 31) at 12 p.m. in 1600 Hampton St. Room 404U (all campuses by teleconference)
- Monday (Feb. 3) at 4:30 p.m. in Russell House Room 305
- Feb. 10 at 12 p.m. in Russell House Room 305
The Magellan Mini-Grant funds up to $1,000 in materials, supplies and travel costs associated with research. It is open to UofSC undergraduates in all disciplines on all campuses. Students must be working under the guidance of a faculty, staff or community mentor. The deadline to apply is Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. All sessions will be held in Legare 322 between 1 and 2 p.m. Feb. 4, 5, 11 and 12
