“I have been on the Coquettes dance team since my freshman year. I decided to try out because I couldn’t imagine dance not being a part of my life. I have been dancing since the age of 3 and competing since I was 4. It’s always been a dream of mine to be on a college dance team as well. USC was my first choice college since I was born basically, so once I was accepted, I immediately knew I had to at least try out. I started going to clinics and finally auditioned and now here we are for year three. I love watching football. Since it’s my favorite sport, I am super excited for it to start back up. For this season specifically, I am so excited that I get to share the field with so many incredible girls and introduce our nine new members to the once in a lifetime game day experience. Being a captain has been so much fun. I have already learned so much about leadership and the season hasn’t even officially started yet. Being in preseason right now is giving our team time to get to know each other. Being able to watch all of the returners helping the rookies learn and prepare for the season has been so rewarding. Being on the team has introduced me to some of my best friends. Always having all these girls behind you to support you and lift you up is amazing. Dancing-wise my favorite part is walking out on the field for pregame and hearing all the fans all over the stadium screaming so loud. It is truly an overwhelming experience and there is nothing else that makes me feel so excited."
