“I’ve always been interested in ancient Egypt and seeing and learning about everything
in person this winter break was breathtaking! I loved seeing everything I’ve been
looking at pictures of for years. Everything is so beautiful and so old yet so well
preserved. The pyramids were definitely a showstopper for me. One thing that surprised
me was how friendly and accepting of tourists many of the locals were. I felt comfortable
and accepted the entire time. It was a great experience, because I got to engage with
these people and witness this new culture without feeling uncomfortable or unwanted.”
