Campus Conversation: Hannah Rivers

“I have been a Carolina fan since birth and wanted to continue my love for dance in college, as I’ve been dancing since age 3. As I began to follow the Carolina Girls, I became obsessed with their love for dance and their love for each other. The atmosphere and energy I felt from the team made me want to be a Carolina Girl some day.
This is my second year of being a Carolina Girl. I love being a part of something that makes me feel connected to the university. I have been able to participate in many public appearances for the school as well as just showing school spirit and supporting the university and athletic teams. I love dancing at football and basketball games, but I also love competing with my team at nationals in the spring. I love being considered an athlete but also still playing a part in the spirit of the university.
At football games, I love the excitement that comes with performing. The atmosphere and the adrenaline rush you get from performing at Williams Brice is unmatched. At basketball games, I love that we get to dance more and show off all of our great technical training. ”
