“My favorite part of being on the Carolina coquette dance team is our performances with the marching band. Learning a new eight-minute dance every week can get kind of crazy, but it's fun to have so many new routines for the crowd. After the game we perform the fight song and even the football team gets involved.

“Performing in Willie-B with everyone surrounding you is a surreal experience. There’s just so much school spirit. It’s like nothing I've ever experienced before, but it's more exciting than nerve wracking. I know I have my team and the marching band around me too.”
