Information Found On MSDSs

Material Safety Data Sheets provide detailed information about a specific hazardous material. An MSDS contains the following information:

Identity	name of the chemical product
Hazardous ingredients	What chemicals are in the mixture?
Physical and chemical characteristics	odor, color, etc.
Fire and explosion data	Will it catch on fire?
Reactivity data	Will it react with other chemicals?
Health hazard data	How can the chemical get into your body and how can it affect your health?

Control Measures	How can you protect yourself against the hazards of the chemical?
