      Reactivity

      MSDSs also give us detailed information about how to work with a chemical safely.  In the "Reactivity Data" section for Drain Snake, we find out about the stability of the product, conditions and other materials which can cause reactions, and dangerous substances that can be produced when the chemical reacts.

      MATERIALS TO AVOID: ORGANICS, CHLORATES, CARBIDES, PICRATES, METALS, BASES
      HAZARDOUS DECOMP PRODUCTS: REACTION WITH MATERIAL IN BLOCKED PLUMBING FACILITIES MAY GENERATE POISONOUS HYDROGEN SULFIDE GAS.

      Very important information!  By reading Section IV of the MSDS, we discover that Drain Snake should not be heated excessively or mixed with water or various other chemicals.  We also know that under normal conditions of use, hydrogen sulfide gas may be produced!  Probably a good idea to make sure you use this particular product in a well ventilated area!
