4.jpg (1013 bytes) Again, the purpose of a Hearing Conservation Program is to prevent hearing loss from exposure to loud noise.

4.jpg (1013 bytes) Your department should have a Hearing Conservation Program if your noise exposure is equal to or greater than 85 decibels, averaged over an 8 hour work day.  This can only be determined by measuring the noise level of machines that you were with or near, or by attaching a device to you that measures your personal exposure to noise throughout the day.
