What Is Writers' Studio?

Writers’ Studio is an open, collaborative workshop with an English professor on hand. Intended for both course-related and non-course projects, the Studio gives writers a chance to work alone or in groups on their papers, poems, stories, reports, and anything else, all with someone nearby to ask questions and spitball ideas. You can come for as long as you need, and use the time to work and discuss ideas in an informal atmosphere.

These sessions offer the kind of expert tutoring we offer in our full-hour individual sessions but in smaller bites, all in a great environment to help you focus and stay productive. They also give you the opportunity to work with an experienced writer to workshop ideas that don’t fit into your class work.
